I'm David Potter. I'm a medical oncologist at the University of Minnesota. I do research in Phase One and -- two and three clinical trials, and in the laboratory, we're working on the role of cytochrome p450 enzymes in breast cancer, and we're developing new metformin-like derivatives that we hope to get into clinical trials in the next five years. We do a lot of translational work in the lab, and this conference is very, very helpful because it gives me an opportunity to learn more about oncology more broadly. It's always a good learning experience and we come out of our fellowships it's easy to get behind in areas that we're not specializing in. This conference is a really great opportunity to catch up, and all to meet with colleagues in Academia and also in the community, so the updates from ASCO are really really important. You know, the (annual ASCO) conference is so large that it's really really hard to run around from session to session. You get lots of good exercise, which is a good thing but -- you- you can't really take the whole thing in, and even if you have -- you know, the various video sessions and you can catch up in various areas, it's really good to network and talk with -- colleagues and get other opinions about -- new information (and) new strategies so it's very exciting!
