Dr. Krishna Komanduri recently participated as a panelist at the Binaytara Foundation's Cellular Therapy Summit in Seattle, WA on August 4 - 5, 2023.
Dr. Komanduri is a professor and physician-in-chief at the Helen Diller Family Comprehensive Cancer Center of the University of California, San Francisco. He is an internationally established leader in hematological and oncological medicine, and his research focuses on helping patients receive better results from transplants and immune-based therapies for hematological malignancies.
Binaytara Foundation's communication assistant, Taylor Pak, spoke with Dr. Krishna Komanduri about his experience at the Cellular Therapy Summit in Seattle, WA. In the following video, Dr. Komanduri shares his gratitude for participating in the conference. He also mentions that he will be attending another one of BTF's conferences in San Francisco, California, on October 7 - 8, 2023. This upcoming meeting is a Precision Oncology Summit, focusing on personalizing treatment to improve patient outcomes.

0:05 I am the Chief of hematology and Oncology at UCSF Health and physician in-chief of the Helen Diller Family Comprehensive Cancer Center.
0:13 I'm here in Seattle at the -- Binaytara Foundation's Seattle Cellular Therapy meeting, which has been fantastic.
0:21 It has brought together experts from across the country with interest in adoptive cellular immunotherapies, mostly for the hematologic malignancies.
0:30 But we're going to talk about solid tumors and other malignancies.
0:32 Today, I was here earlier in the year for the conference on disparities in health outcomes and cancer.
0:40 And that was actually wonderful, very impressed with what the foundation is doing in global health, in understanding disparities and advancing in education in cancer care across the spectrum.
0:56 And really thrilled to be here at this meeting focused on cellular therapy, which is one of my primary interests.
1:02 And we will also be at the meeting in San Francisco in October, focusing on precision medicine and cancer.
1:09 So really thrilled and lovely to see the perspectives and debates and interactions among faculty today discussing really cutting-edge adoptive T-cell therapies, including cart therapies

As well as last weekend, Binaytara Foundation recently hosted another Cellular Therapy Summit in Salt Lake City, Utah, on September 9-10, 2022. Both meetings were attended by leading specialists in hematologic malignancies and cellular therapies.
